Biography
I live and work in Warwickshire. I was born in Zimbabwe and brought to England as a teenager in the late 70s. I gained a BA hons at Kent University in the early 80s and then proceeded to travel round Europe in a sailing boat for a year, ending up in Turkey for six months.

Upon my return, I trained to become a teacher and have made that my profession for the last 17 years.

I play saxes, clarinet, recorder, percussion and, recently, the electric bass and have performed regularly in local bands, playing jazz, latin, world music, funk and blues, though my musical tastes are eclectic, and also include opera, 50s and 60s rock music and just about anything in Tin Pan Alley. I have a Dip Mus.

I have been a semi-professional artist since the early 80s.

I write occasionally, and rarely. I should really get on with that children's story.

I am a sceptic and a member of the National Secular Society. Darwin really did get it right and we should remember that we are evolved organisms. That allows us to understand all human behaviour. It doesn't excuse it.
